APAC provide a full range of machining services, specialising in precision cutting, lathing, milling, vertical machining, and multi-axis CNC machining. Machining is used extensively in the development of our innovative Australian-made products, including pneumatic and mechanical telescopic masts (mech-masts), hinged and telescoping bipods, tripods, quadpods, and weapons platforms. Some of our equipment is listed below:

EDM (Electro Discharge Machining) is a cutting process that uses a spark erosion wire to perform non-contact cuts in metal parts. The process uses an electrical discharge that forms an arc between a wire electrode (typically brass or molybdenum) and a workpiece to erode or remove metal in its path. This timed sparking process occurs thousands of times a second. The spark is very carefully controlled and localised so that it only affects the surface of the material, and extremely care is taken to ensure the spark is consistent along the entire length of the wire.

APAC provide a wide range of gear cutting services right here on the Sunshine Coast, from simple spur, helical bevel, and face drive gears, to precision and difficult to manufacture globoid and hypoid types. There is no type of gear we cannot manufacture. With in-house 3D CAD modelling, APAC can design and produce CNC precision components, vehicle gears, differential gearing, internal gears, and custom-made gears.

Materials used to produce gears include steel which is the most common material, and various nonferrous materials including plastics and composites.
