Tower Systems
One of our most popular product ranges are our tower systems. Our team manufacture nearly all our towers locally in Queensland, providing unbeatable leadtimes. We have range of off-the-shelf aluminium, composite, and galvanised steel towers, but always look forward to working with our clients on custom tower designs. Each construction material has its advantages and disadvantages, a brief overview is provided below.
Materials
Aluminium is an ideal material of choice for the manufacturing of height structures due to its light weight and corrosion resistance, and with reasonable electrical conductivity (59% that of copper) aluminium masts and towers can be earthed relatively easily.
Galvanised Steel is the most popular material of choice for the construction of height structures. Steel is extremely strong, has good conductivity, and when hot-dip galvanised has exceptional corrosion resistance. While the weight of the material can make it more challenging to work with, its long service life and rigidity makes it ideal for any large tower, or masts and poles requiring minimal deflection.
Stainless Steel items are typically grade 304 (standard) or 316 (marine grade). While less common than aluminium or galvanised steel, stainless steel is used for a range of masts and brackets, particularly those exposed to harsh environments such as coastal areas or industrial/mining environments. Stainless steel can also be highly polished for structures installed in sight of the public, ensuring building aesthetics are maintained.
