Enclosures & Cabinets are equipment housings that provide a secure, environmentally protected internal void for electronics, power systems, or communications hardware. They do not form part of the structural load path and typically require a bracket or platform interface for mounting.
In our harsh environments the wrong enclosure can spell disaster for heat and moisture sensitive electronics. While it's tempting to sacrifice quality for cost, it needs to be done with due consideration. That means not just evaluating the cost of components that handle higher temps, but the TCO - lifecycle costs of replacement should something fail early due to repeated thermal or moisture exposure and require an expensive field repair.
