Wescor AL5 Solar Battery & Equipment Cabinet, 1020H x 1400W x 585D, Aluminium, IP55

Wescor Electrical's AL5 is an aluminium cabinet made for solar battery and inverter installations, indoors or out. Behind its double front doors a partition segregates the battery section from the equipment section, as AS/NZS 5139:2019 requires. The battery section holds a 19" rack with slide-in shelves for one to seven rack-mount battery modules (the number depends on the battery chosen), and its universal racking suits many battery brands. The equipment section's 720 x 700 mm mounting plate, powder coated white, takes the inverters, charge controllers and other equipment.

The cabinet is fully welded from 3 mm aluminium, powder coated light grey (RAL 7035) and rated IP55, with stainless steel bolts and fittings throughout. Rain-protected vents on both sides and on top, with removable covers, dust filters and punched aluminium insect screens, ventilate it passively or with the 48 VDC fans fitted as standard. It has a 3-point door locking system, internal gland plates, a circuit breaker section for isolating each battery module, a document pocket inside the door and stainless lifting eyes on all four top corners.

1018 mm high without the rain cover and 1020 mm with it, 1400 mm wide (1500 mm over the base flanges of its 1500 x 585 mm mounting plinth) and 585 mm deep, with 550 mm of usable internal depth.
