Mounting Structures

Mounts, poles, towers, and masts. These are the structural elements that bear load, provide elevation, or act as primary mounting foundations.

  1. They are a primary structural element, and
  2. Provide height, span, or independent load-bearing strength, and

  3. Can stand alone or act as a foundation for equipment.

Subtypes

There are two types of Mounting Structure classifications, Mounts and Erexures.

  • Mounts: structures that a single competent technician can carry, position, and assemble using standard hand-tools.

  • Erexures: larger or more complex structures that require cranes, winches, mechanical lifters, or team lifting to erect.
