Bracketry

Bracketry are Secondary components, attaching to a Mounting Structure while also providing an interface for attaching Equipment. It might be a mounting bracket necessary for installing a piece of equipment, a stand-off bracket providing an extra attachment on a tower, or a headframe that mounts atop a mast offering multiple additional attachments.

When isn't something a bracket? Bear with us, the terminology can be confusing.

  • Mounting Structure - these are Primary structures, providing height, span, or independent load-bearing strength.
  • Base Plate - these are Secondary components used to affix Mounting Structures to a surface or underlying structure.
  • Attachment/Accessory - these are Secondary components but they don't provide an interface to attach Equipment.
